Well, I have lots of things to catch up on! I was sick for two weeks then the anniversary of 9/11 really got to me this year.
Amelia is now crawling, sitting up and pulling up to standing. At the ripe old age of 7 1/2 months she really has me on my toes! She is a very sweet, easy going baby though so that helps :) She is very much a mama's girl and we are very bonded. I can't help but feel that this is how it was always meant to be, breastfeeding, babywearing, and a close mother-baby relationship that is just so special. Sure, sometimes when she cries because she only wants me when I'd rather be getting something else done can seem frustrating, but I just remind myself in those moments how precious this time is. Soon enough she won't want to be around me 24/7! Both kids are sleeping well, and even though Amelia is only just now starting to take to solids and is 90% breastfed, she gives me at least 12 straight hours at night.
Caden is a chatter box, even this week he has really refine his sentences and just tonight said "I don't like that music, mama!" and "thank you for sharing, daddy" ha ha. We've had a bit of a rough patch during the "terrible twos" lately but it seems to be getting better. He's a very emotional little boy and sometimes the constant whining or screaming just gets to me. But through all that God is teaching me patience and I pray that I can be the most patient, loving and positive mother I can be. I'm not there yet, but I keep trying.
More later!
