Day 10 - Shots

Okay I seriously need to catch up on my blogging!

Amelia got some shots today, though not all of them. I am spreading them out every to every 4 weeks. She did great! She only cried for a few seconds, what a trooper :)

Day 9 - Grandpa's Visit

March was the month of visits! After Nate's mother left then came Nate's father, Dan. Caden has so much fun with him as well! We went to the Natural History museum, and though I was as sick as a dog, we had a good time! I really loved seeing my kids with their family, I think it's so important. It was also nice to see how quickly Caden took to everyone :) It was very different when he was a baby!

Now everything is back to "normal", I'm coming out of hiding ha ha and back to running the church nursery.

Day 8 - Grandma's Visit

After Erin left we then had a visit from Nate's mother Donna! It was great to see her and it was sweet to see Caden interact with his grandma! He is old enough now to remember her and he had a blast! We spent time at home as well as at the Science Center in LA and the beach. Here are a couple of pics!

Day 7 - Erin's Visit

My dear friend Erin came out to visit us all the way from Florida at the beginning of March. I cannot even begin to tell you how much help she was to us! If only she could live here and be our nanny! I can't believe it had 6 years since we last saw each other, but we always kept in touch often and she always called me every month or so. Now that is a good friend! So good in fact that she is Miss Amelia Violet's godmother :)

Day 6 - I Love Amazon.com...

...and I'm sad that they stopped doing coupons in baby magazines :( But here is what is left of my hoard, I only spent about $35 on it! Plus I got a ton of free $10 items like pacifiers etc. I stacked different coupons to get some free boxes of diapers or some for just $0.26 cents =] I love deals!

Day 5 - My Girl

I still can't believe I have a GIRL!!!

Purple lips from being treated with gentian violet. It's for thrush/yeast infections.

Day 4 - Collars

Well I am getting ready to re-open my rhinestone dog collar shop! I have placed big orders of supplies these past couple of days and I am excited to get back into it. I've had some repeat customers contact me so I think it's time that I come out of seclusion :) I even have someone from France ordering for the 3rd or 4th time (as set of 3 collars)! It's a good way to test my french ;)

Day 3 - My Sweet Boy

Wow I fail at blogging every day!

Cade is growing like a weed! After a couple of hot days out came the clippers and off came all of his gorgeous blond curls. He is much happier now, though I am a little sad. Even though he has been a little under the weather this week he is cheerful and rambunctious as usual! He amazes me everyday with his hunger for learning and how he knows all his letters, colors, animals and numbers. He is such a joy and I am so thankful to God that I have a bright and healthy son! He weighs about 30# and is over 35" tall, and is still happily rear facing in his car seat :) He is SUCH a boy.

Day 2 - 2 Months Old!

Wow has time flown (as always)! Yesterday Amelia turned two months old and the poor dear started the day off with her first cold. Caden and I have had it all week long and I was hoping she wouldn't get it...but she did. Thankfully it seems mild and she is just "snuffly" and fussy. Yesterday was also her 2 month check up but I declined shots until she was feeling better. She was meant to get EIGHT vaccines!!! There is no way I feel comfortable with that. So she will get a some in two weeks and the others will be spaced out. Without further ado here are some 2 month pictures of the little beauty:

Day 1 - Blog-pril

For the month of April I wanted to blog once a day for all 30 days, but obviously I've gotten off to a rough start! In my defense it's been a busy week. Nate's dad was here visiting, and the kids and I were (and still are) sick with some kind of cold. And it's been HOT! I am way too hot blooded to be able to handle heat well. I get absolutely miserable, and Caden is the same way. Thankfully today is lovely and cloudy....a reprieve from the sweltering past two days. Well, I will be posting twice today to catch up, so stay tuned!
