What's in a Name?

So after much, much, much debate, we have finally decided on a name, as some of you know. Our baby's name will be Caden Elijah Kenyon Loper. I was a little worried as Caden was in the top 5 names of 2007 (different spelling though) but Nate loves it so much and it's the only one we could agree on completely.

Caden: We got Caden from the word Cadence which is used in music (which is why Nate loves it - of course), it means rythm. The name Caden also means "exciting" and "fighter," which I thought was appropriate. It is of English origin.
Elijah: This name has always been special to Nate, obviously for biblical reasons. It means "The Lord is my God." It is of Hebrew origin.
Kenyon: Is the one name I always knew would be included in my future child's name. It is a family name that goes back generations, every first born has it. It is one of my middle names, and although my aunt was the first born with the name Kenyon, she did not give it to her daughter (as so breaking the line), so my mother decided to carry it on with me, which made my grandmother very happy. My aunt is Kerri Kenyon, my grandma is Joy Kenyon, her mother is Mary Kenyon, and her mother is Mary Kenyon too. And it goes on. I thought it was very important to include it with our son, our first born. I think he will be the first boy to receive it. Kenyon means "Blond," and it is of Irish/Gaelic origin.

I also wasn't sure about two middle names, even though all of my siblings have two and so does my mother...but Caden and Kenyon next to each other just wouldn't cut it. I just know that most places (like your bank etc) only have room for one middle name on their paperwork, so I always have to chose one.

Today is the start of week 18 - and I feel like I've swallowed a volleyball, lol.

I also wanted to include some pics of our nursery theme, it should arrive any day now, yay! Isn't it adorable?
