I have finally ordered Caden a new convertible car seat!!! It took me weeks to figure out which one...it feels good to finally decide.
Here it is:
It's called the Maxi Cosi Priori in the color "Penguin", it's european.
Reasons for choosing:
- Rear faces to 35# (which is more than the normal 30-33#).
- More compact (maybe?)
- Reclines 4 positions
It should arrive tomorrow - then I need to take it to a car seat safety station to get properly installed. I just have to figure out where one is...
Stay tuned for more "reviting" car seat news (you know it is)! :P

the CHP office off of Torrance Blvd and the 101 fwy has appointments to install your car seat. But it could take 2 weeks to set up an appointment.
Hi Hattie
Thanks for visiting my blog!
You might be interested in this post by a blog friend here in England on keeping children in rear facing car seats for longer:

She has lots of very good info on there.
I was going to buy the seat she recommends, but at the last minute realised that I didn't need to. Our VW Caravelle has swivelling seats in the back, so I've just put Honor in a regular kiddy car seat and turned the actual CAR seat round ( if that makes sense)
So she is actually rearward facing.
It makes alot of sense that they are more protected that way.
Thanks Clare I'll take a look! :)
Oh and Jenny, thank you I have an app. set up already. It just bugs me that it takes so long to get checked!
